    Very good

The rooms are wooden lodges built on stilts, they are fairly modern with enough space and good facilites. Each lodge has it's own space and sitting area outside with chairs and table. Koh Tao is only a small island and caters for diving predominantly and so doesn't have many "luxury hotels", I think this is probably as close as you will get to it. Good selection for breakfast. Nice hotel and would def recommend. Rooms/lodges are out with nature a little so be prepared to see and hear a little of it but it's fine.

    Exceptional

This is a really nice place for people who like nature and dont need the classical "comfort" of hotels - the accommodation is in wooden huts set in a very nice tropical garden. The huts are very very beautiful and quite large with a fantastic terrace where you can sit or lie on the sofa (though for us it was unfortunately impossible due to so many mosquitos during the evening but day as well). The huts are very clean and sb comes every day to pact and unpack the mosquito net. Nevertheless, it is set in the garden so be ready to find geckos and sometimes beatles in the room (we found a cockroach once in 5 days) But I dont think it is a mistake of the staff, it is just impossilbe to avoid. Staff really nice, helpful and friendly. Good breakfast.

At first we were very disappointed by the location. Be careful if you want to use the beach in front of the hotel or very nearby - this place is located very very close to the pier so the water in the sea is not what we expected from ko tao (at some places the sand is black, water looked "oily", smelled a bit...) and your view when looking at the sea is "damaged" by pretty many ships (small and bigger) anchoring nearby. We didnt go to the beach in front of Sensi even once. But fortunately the reception (I talked to Brian, an Englishman living in Thailand a long time - very friendly and helpful) gave us a lot of tips where and how to find the most beautiful places - you can walk about 25 mins (very easy and pleasant walk) to Sai Nuan Beach (very nice!) And continue on foot even further. Or you can comfortably use the hotel taxi boats which take you anywhere on the island (though it is a bit expensive - 500 thb / 2 persons / 1 way). Nang Yuan Island is 800 thb / 2 persons / there and back and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Shark Bay beach also extremely beautiful. Ko Tao is a real paradise. The location has a good side too - you are very close to shops and restaurants (Whitening highly recommended!). Other hotels which are on beautiful beaches are usually a bit isolated - you have one or two hotels and thats it. So it depends on what you want.

This hotel is probably one of the most luxurious ones we have ever stayed in. The setting is beautiful, and is well located. Our room was huge, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There are lots of added extras provided, such as slippers, robes and even a beach bag. Every last detail has been thought of so you can enjoy your stay here to the full. The breakfast was wonderful, with a large choice of food for you to enjoy. The setting of the restaurant/breakfast area is fantastic, looking out over the sea, and across to Koh Nang Yuan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also we found that the trips that they offer are good value for money. You can snorkel from the beach, where there are lots of colour fish to enjoy and a ship wreck to explore. We would recommend this hotel.

    Exceptional

Excellent staff, quiet, pretty location & 2 lovely swimming pools. The bungalows are a good size and the private verandas at the front were great.

As it is in the low season there was slight construction noise on the complex, and as there is so much flora and fauna around there were some bugs etc.

    Very good

Very friend personell and integrated way of the bungalows into nature. I much enjoyed the all-around-experience.

The breakfast buffet, while OK, could use some diversification/change 3rd to 5th day or so. For travellers with a walking handicap the resort is not suitable due to many steps and terrain. That should maybe be mentioned on web site. It was of no problem for us though.

    Fabulous

The staff were really friendly and happy to help. The pool was really nice. The room was really lovely and the bad was set up for the night every day with mosquito nets.

Location wasn't brilliant as it was a short walk to mae nam therefore you felt a bit out of it. Our lodge was a short walk up some steep steps which wasn't a problem for us as we are young however couples with children or older couples might struggle. The restaurant was only open until 10pm which we thought was quite early.

    Very good

The location is perfect. 5 mins walking to the downtown. The pool is wonderful. The staff is really helpful. They have free transfer to hotel from/to the pier (I could not nothing about transfer at their web-site). Breakfast is very good.

Our pool villa wasn't perfect for that money. The bathroom was like reparing. No tile, it did not look like clean. Our villa was located near road and the sounds from cars were all night. Somitemes I felt the toilet smell when I walk through the hotel.

    Superb

Perfect location on a quiet private beach at the far end of the bay with the main jetties and the Koh Tao town. An easy stroll into town so no need for taxis / bikes etc. Very comfortable cabanas and particularly large, excellent beds.Good a//c. Family cabanas very good. Staff were professional, capable, although one or two waiters inflicted their boredom on us with boring 'magic' tricks better suited to the playground. Privacy was respected, no noise at night. Koh Tao has exploded though - it's a mess and tourism is out of control - and they all know it. If you're looking for a true, unspoilt tropical paradise go elsewhere. Neighbouring Nang Yuam, surely one of the beautiful places on the planet has been totally ruined with crass, tasteless development. Rather like pencilling a cigarette, beard and blacked out tooth on the Mona Lisa - utterly shameful. If you want to stay in the Sensi Paradise resort though, you'll be fine, I wouldn't think there's anywhere better on the island - there's a sunken ship within a safe, five minute swim of the beach which provides great snorkelling. If you're a scuba diver, you'll know all about Koh Tao and you're close enough to town to make it all easy. Great place, not cheap, but beautiful, lush, tropical surroundings and very, very peaceful.

Waiters were bored, and boring - with one or two stars.

    Fabulous

Great location, quiet end of perfect beach, but short walk to town and other eating options. Beautiful setting inc pool.

Bar at pool should be open later, and would have been nice to have a Spa

    -Location to beach

    - Room was a fair bit away from the facilities, pool reception etc. Soap in bathroom was eaten by something and was not taken away during our stay(small pieces of excrement remained in the soap dish). We also ate in the restaurant and found an insect in the food, the waitress kindly brought us a sundae as a gesture but were not in much of a mood for more food after finding the insect. I was surprised to see it got such a high rating...maybe most of the other hotels are very bad?!

    Exceptional

When we arrived the a/c in our room didn't work and they gave us another room. Sea view and didn't charge us anything extra. We really enjoyed the room we had, it was amazing, the view left us speechless, the staff went the extra mile and they cleaned and did our bed every day!!! The food was also really good. The staff was very polite, cooperative and helpful. I would definately come back!!!! Thanks Sensi Staff for making our first experience of Ko Tao the Best!!!! :)

    Fabulous

The hotel is situated in the perfect location, blending beautifully into the hillside. Rooms are built from natural wood and are very comfortable. The beach is lovely, with good snorkelling in clear waters and the pool is very good too. The restaurant overlooks the bay and offers a good range of well cooked, reasonably priced food delivered by friendly, attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. One note: bring plenty of mosquito spray!
